Pantry Ninja: Easy Homemade Chicken Broth

Whether you want to can it, freeze it, or just eat it, here’s the easiest and best homemade chicken broth.

INGREDIENTS

One gallon of water. (16 cups)

Any chicken parts you have on hand. Some use a whole chicken, some just use legs, some just use the leftover chicken parts like the back and neck. Doesn’t matter!!

2 stalks of celery, cut up

2 onions, cut up

2 bay leaves

1 Tablespoon salt

Drop all ingredients into a large pot and simmer for two hours.

Strain broth into a large bowl. (you can pick through the remainder of the ingredients if you want to snack, or make chicken soup, or whip up a chicken salad sandwich)

Makes 16 cups of broth. Enjoy!!!

You can keep it in the fridge for 4-6 days, in the freezer for 4-6 months, or can with a pressure canner to keep for 18 months, but I guarantee it won’t last that long! We use it to cook rice, as the liquid in a casserole, as a warm cup of afternoon goodness. So good!
